What we collect, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

This website is run by the business below. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the “data fiduciary” for the personal data you give us here.

What we collect, and why

When you place an order

Your name, mobile number, delivery address, any notes you add, whether it is a gift, and your email address if you choose to give it. We use these to make your order, deliver it, contact you about it, handle returns and guarantee claims, and keep the records Indian tax law requires. We ask for your consent with a checkbox before the order is placed, and we cannot take an order without it.

When you send us a message

Your name, email, phone number if you give it, the topic and your message. We use them only to reply to you.

When you pay online

Card, UPI and bank details go directly to our payment gateway, Razorpay. We never see or store them. Razorpay tells us whether the payment succeeded and gives us a payment reference.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site, and we do not record your IP address against your order. Our server uses IP addresses briefly to block repeated failed logins and order spam, and deletes them when that short window ends.

What stays on your device

Your bag, wishlist, recently viewed pieces and a copy of your past orders are saved in your own browser so they are still there when you come back. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. The Cookie policy lists exactly what is stored and how to clear it.

Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to complete your order:

  • Courier partners receive your name, phone number and delivery address.
  • Razorpay processes online payments, if you pay online.
  • WhatsApp or Instagram (Meta) carry your order message or enquiry if you choose to send it that way. Meta’s own privacy policy applies to those apps.
  • Formspree delivers messages and orders sent by email to our inbox, if that option is in use.
  • Our web host stores the site and, where we run one, the order database.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. Some of these services may process data outside India.

How long we keep it

  • Orders: for as long as Indian tax law requires us to keep invoices and accounts, currently about six years. After that we delete them, unless you have an open guarantee claim.
  • Messages: deleted within twelve months of our last reply, unless they relate to an order.
  • Data on your device: until you clear it from your browser.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with
  • correct, complete or update it
  • delete it, except what the law requires us to keep
  • withdraw your consent. This does not undo anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may then be unable to complete an order that is still open.
  • let someone else exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to

Write to the grievance officer below. We will reply within 30 days at most. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receiving it.

Children

Orders must be placed by someone aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and only people who need order details can see them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again.
